Choose Bas Relief, Flat Relief or a photo engraved image for your Bronze or Aluminum Logo

All of the bronze and aluminum seals, logos, emblems and insignias we produce at Metal Designs can be created in several different ways:

• Bas Relief or Sculpted Relief: This refers to a process where we sculpt the photo or logo with high and low areas. To make this simple, just run your hand down your face, and feel where your eyes sink in and your nose sticks out. This is what you achieve with a sculpted relief or bas-relief image. We can do almost anything, from a person’s face to a simple flower. Just send us your image(s) and we will provide a quote.
• Flat Relief: This refers to a process where we create black-and-white lines to create an image with a flat-relief face or a full military seal. For example, lettering on a plaque is considered flat relief. It’s raised off the surface of the plaque and smooth at the surface. This is how a flat-relief image looks. However, don’t let the term “flat” fool you; the image is, in fact, raised. We have a full art department to create whatever style you can think of.
• Photo engraved: This refers to a process where we put a solid bronze or aluminum blank on a machine that then cuts away the background to leaves raised text and slightly raised photos or emblems on the metal.  Our art department creates these images for you and there is no charge for this service.
